TheFlightExpert.com Uses Modern TLS Encryption to Keep You Safe from Spammers, Man-in-the-Middle Attacks, and More
When you visit www.TheFlightExpert.com, you’ll see a lock symbol in the address bar of your browser, along with the secure transport protocol signifier “https” (rather than simply “http”). Taken together, these mean the communication between your computer and TheFlightExpert.com’s server is strongly encrypted and therefore it’s unlikely that the communication was intercepted and read along the way (known as a “man-in-the-middle attack“).
TheFlightExpert.com uses TLS certificates provided by Comodo. This type of encryption is the most modern, up-to-date type available for websites.

How to Tell What Type of Encryption a Website Uses
Chrome
If the connection to the site is encrypted and therefore private, you’ll see a lock symbol of some sort in the address bar:
If the connection is not secure, you’ll see a page symbol:
If you click the lock symbol, you’ll see a message that reads “Your connection to this site is private.” If you click the page symbol, you’ll get a message that says “Your connection to this site is not private.” [Emphases mine.]
For encrypted sites, click the “Connection” tab to see information about the type of encryption the website uses to keep you safe. Chrome will tell you if the encryption is outdated or otherwise flawed.
Firefox
If the connection to the site is encrypted and therefore private, you’ll see a lock symbol of some sort in the address bar:
If the connection is not encrypted, you’ll see a globe or world symbol:
If you click the lock symbol, you’ll see a message that reads “Your connection to this site is secure.” If you click the world symbol, you’ll get a message that says “Your connection to this site is not encrypted.”
For encrypted connections, click the “More information” button to view the type and strength of the encryption as well as the encryption certificate itself.
